My Story
Humble Beginnings
An entrepreneur, a visionary, a philanthropist, and more, Mr. Rohit Shelatkar is the Director/Vice-President of Vitabiotics (and its Indian arm Meyer Organics), the fastest growing neutraceutical company in the United Kingdom, which is renowned across the globe for manufacturing innovative nutrition supplements and distributing them to 110 countries, for almost five decades now. After completing his Msc. in Pharmacology from the University of Hertfordshire, UK, Rohit joined Vitabiotics, 15 years ago, and within the first 4 years, held critical designations. In the 5th year, he was elected as a member of the board, and recently, assumed the post of the Vice President.
Known to multitask, he dons several hats, as he is also the brain behind the Grand Maratha Foundation (GMF), a not-for-profit organisation that extends a helping hand to distressed and debt-ridden farmers, their widows, their children, and the downtrodden social segments across Maharashtra. Through noble initiatives and sustainable agricultural activities, it aids them in getting debt-free at the earliest, and leading a respectable life.
Rohit has consistently proven his awareness, knowledge, and interest with regard to diverse sectors. With his passion and deep understanding of culture, he wishes to mould Indian cinema in a contemporary way, with a touch of glorious history comprising elements of love, valour, and struggle. To fulfil this desire, he founded Vision World Films, wherein he is working with the biggest names in the industry along with providing a platform to several talented newcomers. Moreover, he is also the man behind conceptualising Grand Showbiz, a new enterprise with professionals who have proven their mettle in the field of international distribution. Having successfully distributed over 150 Bollywood, Punjabi and South Indian movies internationally, is a testament to the company’s success rate.
With his holistic expertise, diverse skill-set and well-rounded personality, Rohit has been a keynote speaker at various symposia organised by leading medical corporations, and continues to pass his knowledge onto students and medical consultants by delivering lectures pertaining to fields including gynaecology, orthopaedics, and paediatrics.

As most farmers in Maharashtra have been living in dire conditions, with huge debts to repay, lack of irrigation, low literacy due to poverty, and lack of farming techniques and healthcare facilities, making a difference is imperative. Most importantly, a reduction in the number of farmer suicides in the state has become the need of the hour.
This is where Grand Maratha Foundation (GMF) is rising to the occasion. GMF, with its focused approach is undertaking an array of initiatives and activities to uplift these farmers, their widows, their children, and the underprivileged classes across Maharashtra. Furthermore, it provides all round education to them as well as guidance on carrying out sustainable agricultural activities to empower them, thereby ensuring a better livelihood.
Above everything else, the GMF aims to make these farmers and their families, future-ready, as well as establish an institute that will train them to lead a better and respectable life.

Grand Showbiz Media & Entertainment is another recent media and cinematic venture spearheaded by Rohit. With a noteworthy record of distributing over 150 movies internationally (including Bollywood, Punjabi, and South Indian films), it comprises dedicated professionals who have proved their mettle in the field of international distribution of theatrical and other rights. The enterprise is now breaking into the production of Bollywood and regional movies, along with establishing cinema chains across the globe.
